Talkin' Q Politics - Christine Pelosi

Join HRC for an evening of Talkin Q'Politics the night of the Pennsylvania Primary, our popular monthly series hosted by the Los Angeles Political Action Committee.

The speaker for April is Christine Paule Pelosi, the daughter of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and the author of Campaign Boot Camp: Basic Training for Future Leaders, a guide to successful campaigning.
 
Ms. Pelosi will be speaking on the current political events including the Pennsylvania Democratic Presidential Primary, the need to win additional congressional seats and other topics of interest to the GLBT community.

Ms. Pelosi directs the AFSCME PEOPLE/New House PAC Congressional Candidates Boot Camp, which prepares Democrats for Congressional campaigns. Her work in public policy and politics includes service as Executive Director (1998-99) and Platform Chair (1996-present) of the California Democratic Party; Deputy City Attorney (Construction and Trial Teams) and Assistant District Attorney (Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit) for the City of San Francisco; U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Special Counsel in the Clinton/Gore Administration (1999-2001); and, Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative John F. Tierney (2001-2005).

Ms. Pelosi holds a law degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law and a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.  She is also a superdelegate for the Democratic Party and blogger for the Huffington Post.

She will be available after the event to sign copies of Campaign Boot Camp, which may be purchased at East West that evening.
