Human Rights Campaign - Los Angeles

Presents HRC 101

The Human Rights Campaign is the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender lobbying and advocacy organization in the country.  The Los Angeles Steering Committee of the Human Rights Campaign will hold a brief introductory session for anyone interested in becoming more involved in HRC. The Human Rights Campaign is comprised of literally thousands of volunteers all over the country and the vast majority of the work that HRC does in the local community is done by people just like you. Some of us are very passionate, some are really committed, and others are just looking for a way to volunteer and have an impact in the LGBT ommunity.  If you would like to help make a difference and get more involved in HRC, this is a great way to learn how.

The meeting will include a brief explanation of what HRC does, an introduction of the local board members and committee chairs, a description of what each of the committees does, a discussion of the ways you can participate (including our work to keep gay and lesbian marriage legal in California), and time for any questions you may have about the organization.  We will make every attempt to keep the session to less than 60 minutes, but we will certainly make ourselves available to stay longer and answer any questions you may have.

The first 30 attendees to arrive HRC 101 will receive a gift card for 15 free iTune song downloads from the True Colors Tour concert.
