Next Generation Activism for Marriage Equality

LGBTQ Online Clearinghouse

This is a forum to discuss the creation of an online tool to connect projects and potential volunteers for use in marriage activism.

We envision a consolidated, easy-to-use platform that allows organizations to share resources, and guides supporters to volunteer opportunities. There is a similar initiative in San Francisco we are working with to model our structure. To paraphrase their agenda:

We feel that there is a need for a Technology Platform to link organizations and initiatives with activists, volunteers and supporters and which:

· Enables LGBTQ organizations and initiatives to consolidate, leverage resources, track outcomes, and cross-reference each others’ communications

· Provides supporters with an easy-to-navigate on-line resource to explore the many options to get involved in helping to achieve LGBTQ equal rights.
